New Project...

This all started with a desire to help others. Not knowing how to start, or where to go. A call came in, there was a family in need of clothing and toys for 2 kids. I gathered up what I could, boxed it up, and sent it along. Not knowing who I was helping, or for what reason.

I got to thinking, that it sure would be nice to be able to help out all year round. To bring some sunshine to those who need it. Tossing the idea around with Erin, from Penny Lane Bargain Outlet, we have decided to move forth with this idea.

We are starting with the collection of gently used toys, books, DVD's, clothing, shoes, hats, gloves, etc. This collection will be distributed accordingly. We will not only bring cheer at Christmas time, we would also like to be able to bring joy and happiness on birthdays, other special occasions, in time of need.

The collection begins today. If you have any gently used items that you would like to recycle before Christmas, please let me know. I will be glad to pick it up for you, or it can be dropped off at the Physiotherapy Clinic, for now.

e-mail me at lhallquist@yahoo.com and we can arrange a time for pick up.

The end of the story is that instead of just helping out one famiy with the items from my home, we helped out 3 separate families. What a great feeling!!

Thank you for your support. This is going to be big!!
