Q: Should I skip my workout if I have a cold?

A: If your symptoms are above the neck (runny nose, sore throat, sneezing) it is ok to exercise. Just do a less intense version of your usual workout. Maybe shorten your cardio routine a bit, and decrease set, reps or even weights for your resistance exercise.

If your body is aching, you are severely congester, coughing or have a fever, take a rest day or two. When you are feeling better, gradually work back into your old routine.
