Sarcopenia...

What on earth? Sarcopenia is age-related muscle loss. It can actually start in your 30's, and if you don't take action now, you could begin to lose as much as 1 - 2 % of your muscle mass by the time you hit the big 5-0!! Less muscle = fewer calories burned = more calories are stored as the dreaded F-A-T!!

The key to stopping your muscles "melting" away, is to strengthen them. Your increase in muscle means your calorie burn will increase as well, even when you are idle. Start scultping at least 2 times per week, and keep it up even after you reach your GOAL weight. If you don't keep it up after the weight loss, studies have shown that the pounds can slowly pile back on. (at least 60 minutes of moderate physical activity per day!!)
